A.A.米尔恩（Alan Alexander Milne， 1 882—19 5 6）生于伦敦，大学读的是 数学 ，参加过第一次 世界 大战，当过 英国 老牌 幽默 杂志《笨拙》的副主编。在为小朋友写书以前，他已经是一位大作家，写了许多长短篇 小说 、剧本、 诗歌 。不过让他闻名世界的，还是他的 儿童 文学 作品。
米尔恩的儿童文学作品，主要是四《Winnie the Pooh》，两本是 童话 ，主角都是小熊维尼：《小熊维尼》（1926）和《小熊维尼角的房子》（1928），两本是儿童诗：《当我们很小的时候》（1924）和《现在我六岁了》（1927）。
